Well... if anyone cares, I went to Brisnova this year. Man, if that wasn't awesome I don't know what is. Without further ado, here's my little recap.
SaturdayApart from leaving my friend's copy of GoT at home, I arrived at the convention at around 1pm and introduced myself to some artists in the Artist Alley (
Australian-Deviants stuff) seeing as I was planning a devmeet later that night, I thought I should probably let them know what I looked like at least XD. After that, I attempted to make a beeline to where I thought the Hanabee booth was. It was a hot day, and the booth was in an even hotter marquee. First thing on the list was RoosterTeeth shirts and a copy of RWBY season 1, followed by waiting in a line for Monty Oum and Jordan Cwierz to show up. Despite a delayed plane, these guys made it there... Monty, Jordan, if you ever read this, know that we as fan really appreciate you guys coming out to meet us, I know it meant the world to me then. Stay awesome.
After I gave them Monty some a fanart (I have the lineart, I'll upload it once I've coloured in) I beelined again, this time, to Black Milk Clothing. The rest of the day was spent walking around and buying prints. There's really nothing that interests me in the Marquee so I spent the majority of the day in the RICC building going to panels and taking pictures of cosplayers (Shout out to Old Greg on Sunday). 5.30pm time of devmeet......... No one showed up (not including the artists that were trading that day, they were still trading)! But I did manage to get heaps of photos of cosplayers. Huzzah!
Headed back into Artist Alley and said hi again to the artists that were coming to the Devmeet dinner. We all headed out to a place in the Valley close by and all was good.
Sunday
Wow I woke up early again for the second day in a row would you believe?!
I headed into the city and bought snacks then headed to the RNA showgrounds. First stop this time was Artist Alley where I dropped off these recently bought snacks off to the artists (these guys get no break, kudos to you all). After that, it was a queue in the George R. R. Martin line to get my friend's copy signed (finally). To be honest, I did all my shopping on Saturday so I helped out
Ry-Spirit in his booth most of the day as well as painting the back of my hand with the fairy tail symbol. No premium membership so I can't put pictures up XD.
It was great meeting everyone! Hope you enjoyed Brisbane in that little time that you had. Come back next time and we'll all hang out again. That's only if you want to though.
Well, that was my recap. I'm sure you can find more exciting ones elsewhere.
I'm out. Figuratively and quite literally very soon. I am so tired.
